Rupea Citadel (Romanian: Cetatea Rupea, German: Burg Reps, Hungarian: Kőhalmi vár) is one of the oldest archaeological sites in Romania, the first signs of human settlements dating from the Paleolithic and early Neolithic.
The Saschiz fortified church (Romanian: Biserica fortificată din Saschiz; German: Kirchenburg von Keisd) is a Lutheran fortified church. Together with the surrounding village, it forms part of the villages with fortified churches in Transylvania UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Sighișoara (German: Schäßburg; Hungarian: Segesvár) is a popular tourist destination for its well-preserved walled old town, which is also listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. The main Citadel’s attractions are certainly the towers.
